Foster Care Advanced Course is for foster parents who want to go deeper in their learning about trauma, cultural competency, transitions and more.
This self-paced online course contains five videos and over ten slides of valuable information about the following:
- Transracial parenting & resources
- Advocating for reunification
- Transitioning a child out of your care in the best way possible
- Advocating for permanency
- Essential self-care
- Utilizing respite care
- Discerning which placements to say yes vs no when the call comes
- Foster care jargon
This course is extremely valuable for anyone who is actively fostering a child.
It can be done alone or with a partner.
On average, it takes an individual one week to complete the course entirely.
